          Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar oglu was born on June 6, 1959 in Astara region.
          He graduated from the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakchivanski in 1976.


          In 1980, he graduated from the Baku Higher Combined Arms Command School, and from that year to 1985, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army stationed in Germany.
          From 1985 to 1993, he continued serving in the Siberian Military District.
          In 1986-1987, he studied the academic management courses at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR.
          In 1993-2003, he served in the Border Troops of the Ministry of National Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
